Reviewing the road map in order to take the scenic route, the mileage from our home to Cranbrook, British Columbia is approximately 260 miles (425 km). On this trip, we opted to take the Okotoks exit off of the freeway and head south and then west on Hwy 7 to the town of Black Diamond. Here, we turned south on Hwy 22 and enjoyed a leisurely drive down the Cowboy’s Trail, as it is known, until we reached Hwy 3 a.k.a. the Crowsnest Highway . Turning west once more, we continued onto Cranbrook ~ with a few stops along the way.
